Excursions & other events

Here’s some provisional information about excursions and other events we will are organising to take place during Knit Camp and Ravelry Day 2010.  Where possible we have given a rough indication of price. Please note that there will be a reduced price for students staying on campus for any excursions including meals to account for not receiving an evening meal at the University.

We will be opening bookings/registration for these events in early 2010.

Monday 9th August 2010

Come and celebrate Elizabeth Zimmernann’s 100th birthday with us in style at the 5 star Glenturret Distillery, the home of the Famous Grouse Experience.  We have reserved the 5 star restaurant for the entire evening for an exquisite 5 course meal, complete with a traditional piper.  All Knit Camp tutors will be attending, and it will be a chance for you to meet them before Camp starts the following morning.

Optional tour of the distillery before dinner, lasting just over an hour and including tasting 4 different whiskeys.

Maximum capacity is 200 as tickets will be sold on first come, first served basis.

The tour is £20 per person, price for dinner and transport to and from the University to be confirmed.
